N O T E S
Doorstop (1998) was written for The Pacific Rim Gamelan, a group that focuses on both the traditional and new repertoire for the gamelan. They perform on the beautiful Gamelan Suranadi Sari Indra Putra. Doorstop is a slowly evolving metrical work that explores the many rich timbres of the gamelan; it was revised in 1998 to include a solo violin line and an extended middle section.
